Far back into time, people have gone to the wilderness to seek guidance, inspiration and renewal, to let their old lives and old selves die, to find the conditions where spirit may be rekindled, reborn within them. This ‘journey’ is commonly called a Vision Quest.
You are invited to a Vision Quest Weekend, Friday, May 11, 12:00 noon through Sunday, May 13, after lunch at a secure location disclosed only to participants, approximately one hour from Columbus, OH
You will begin with a cleansing sweat lodge ceremony, and then camp out on the land. You will fast from talking. Fasting from food is optional, and you should do whatever you feel comfortable with. Some choose a partial fast, meaning they may fast from one meal a day. If you choose to eat during your quest, you should bring your own food, except for the closing feast on Sunday. Each evening, you are invited to a drumming circle inside the Medicine Wheel. Drums and rattles will be provided if you need them.
Vision Quest is limited to 12 people. Questers must provide their own tent. Leadership provided by Deborah and Stan Ling, both seasoned retreat leaders. You site is an incredibly nurturing sacred space, with hills and a stream. The cost for the entire weekend is $200. Full fee is payable immediately. Send to Deborah Ling, 2696 Wellesley Drive, Columbus, OH 43221. An entrance interview must be conducted either in person or by phone. Give name, address, email address and phone number. The fee is nonrefundable.
